God Said in Jeremiah 6:16: "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls, But they said, We will not walk therein."

This verse explains why the Real Church is dying off and why Calvary Baptist Church of Arcola Texas may not be the biggest or the most resourceful or even the prettiest church on the block but...we are thankful that the truth of God's Word, which as has been preserved in the King James Version of the Holy Bible, is preached honestly and faithfully and the Soul Saving Grace and Mercy of God and His Glorious Gospel Of Jesus Christ are declared to a lost, troubled and dying world in almost every service.

We do not compromise the truth of God's Word nor the time tested, God honoring music found in traditional hymns, just for the sake of big numbers. We preach and teach about the Holy Son Of God who is Jesus Christ of the Bible and NOT the unholy fake Jesus (the god of this world) the worldly fake churches serve who is really a god of their own imaginations. We would rather have a few that love truth than to have many who love themselves.

We are an Independent Baptist Church that worships God through old-fashioned songs, hymns, and with an emphasis on Bible preaching from the King James Bible.
